Nintendo Gameboy Micro For Sale

Baxtros are excited to have Nintendo Gameboy Micro for sale in a number of colours. The console was the first handheld console to be released with a back lit screen, meaning that the screen is a lot brighter and a lot more clear than a standard LCD front lit screen.  In addition to this, you can adjust the brightness of the screen to suit your desired conditions.  The console was also the second of its kind to include a rechargeable battery, meaning less hassle for consumer to worry about purchasing batteries and more beneficial to the environment.  The console was recognised as well for being so incredibly small, you could fit it in your pocket and not even notice it was there. The downside to the console, is that it was not backward compatible, meaning you are not able to play older games, such as Gameboy Original, pocket and Gameboy color games.  However, any games for Gameboy Advance and Gameboy SP are able to be played on the Gameboy micro, so it’s not all bad news.

The Gameboy Micro console was first released in Japan on 13th September 2005.  The next release of the console was in North American on 19th September 2005, closely followed by a release in Australia on 3rd November 2005 and 4th November 2005 in Europe.  The console was available in eight basic colours, Silver, Black, Purple, Pink, Blue, Green, pearl blue and red.  There were also a range of limited special edition consoles, including the popular Famicom edition.  With this console however, there were no Pokémon centre editions. The console sold nearly 2.5 million units during its time in the market and was discontinued in 2008, most likely due to it’s poor performance.  Despite the performance not being so good, this console is still highly demanded in the market and has become very hard to get your hands on in recent years.

If you are looking for a Gameboy Micro console, Baxtros Limited has a range available for you to choose from. Be quick though, as these come and go extremely rapidly. We put these console through a full refurbishment process, repairing any faults and finishing off with a full clean over to the housing of the console.
