If you are looking for a backlit modified gameboys, you are in the right place.  Baxtros has a range of Gameboy Consoles fitted with backlit screens for sale.  We also offer a modification service where we can build consoles to order.  You also have the option to buy a pre built console from stock. Or alternatively you can send us your old gameboy and we will modify it to your specifications.  All of our modifications are carried out by trained technicians and all consoles are covered by a full 1 year warranty, this covers any technical faults that may occur.

How it all started

Backlighting has become more popular over the past years.  Since Nintendo discontinued the Gameboy Advance SP 101, and introduced the Nintendo DS console, gameboy fanatics throughout the world have began to demand new screens in old gameboys, and so back lighting was born.

A small explanation on the range

There are many types of back lighting available for Gameboy’s. Ranging from an LCD back light inside a console, with a booster board, to an LED light screen that slips behind the polarizer. Adding clarity through the means of a bivert chip mod. All of which you can find in our Gameboy screens section. It doesn’t stop there though! Not only can you now modify the screen of your console, but also the housing, buttons and even the plastic screen cover!  Thanks to the research of gaming technicians who have tried and tested, failed and finally succeeded! This phenomenon has been made possible!
