Sega Dreamcast Controller Shadow Boxes

The Sega Dreamcast controller was released alongside the Dreamcast console in 1998 in Japan and 1999 in the UK. Its distinctive design featured a central analogue stick, a directional pad, four face buttons and two shoulder triggers, providing players with the controls needed for a wide range of games.

The controller also included an expansion slot for accessories such as the Visual Memory Unit (VMU), which allowed players to save game progress, view additional game information and enjoy compatible mini games. Its unique design became an iconic part of Sega’s final home console generation.

The Sega Dreamcast controller remains a recognisable piece of gaming history, remembered for its distinctive appearance and its role in the Dreamcast era.
