The PSP E1000 model was announced at the Gamescon festival in 2011. The model was produced as a basic more cost effective console for consumers. Released only in the PAL region it hit stores on October 26th 2011, retailing at 99.99 Euros. The console does not contain a wifi function, unlike its predecessors and in 2014 the console was discontinued.
